This is awesome! G1 Optimus Prime, the way it should be! Curse you Michael Bay for destroying my childhood memories! Tsuyosho Nonaka attended PMX 2011 and is a prolific mecha designer having worked on a lot of mecha series from the last 2 decades! He did do some work for the original Transformers series back in 1986. He mentioned how the original Transformers was not very popular in Japan since the robots were "American style". I assume he gets a lot of requests for Optimus Prime as he drew this sketch from memory.
